Economics of Shaving

Shaving with a straight razor is not only a rewarding experience in itself, in which you will develop valuable skills (sharpening and zen); but also the most economic (and sustainable!) option. A razor, hone and strop may seem expensive at first (300-500$), but are once in a lifetime investments. In perspective they are very cheap compared with the expenses of trow away blades: 50-100$ per year times 40-50 years of shaving = 2000-5000$. Only a trow away society is truly expensive.
